PanamaCompra — Electronic procurement system (Panama)

PanamaCompra V3 is Panama's national electronic procurement portal used to register suppliers and manage supplier records on the public procurement platform.

Function

PanamaCompra (named in its guide as the Sistema Electrónico de Contrataciones Pública “PanamaCompra” and PanamaCompra V3) is the national electronic procurement portal used for supplier registration and to store supplier information. The user guide instructs users to access www.panamacompra.gob.pa, open the Proveedores tab and select “Registrarse como proveedor del Estado” and then “Registrarse en PanamaCompra V3,” completing the “Información de la Razón Social” form and attaching required documents. ([1])

Relation to the DGCP

The Dirección General de Contrataciones Públicas (DGCP) is the public institution associated with this trámite; DGCP accepts solicitudes de certificados de proponente and other administrative trámites at its office, which are processed separately from portal enrollment. Contact and trámite details are listed on the DGCP/Panamá Digital information page. ([2])

Practical consequence for a supplier

To create a supplier record a user must register on PanamaCompra V3, complete the “Información de la Razón Social” screen and upload the documents requested for their proponent type. The portal guide shows the step sequence and required attachments; incomplete or missing uploads will prevent completion of the registration workflow. ([1])
