A quick look. Then back to your day.

Writing a proposal, checking a budget or catching up with your team? Your tender watch can stay close by. Click OX beside the clock to review new finds, save a promising one or set a reminder, then carry on with what you were doing.

Check new tenders from any app.

Open Scout from the menu bar to see the buyer, published value and relevance of each find. Your Otnox company profile guides the selection, so you can check for opportunities without opening another browser tab.

Keep, dismiss or come back later.

Take saves a tender to your Otnox favourites. Pass clears it from your finds. Snooze brings it back when you have time to look. Make the first decision in the pop-up; open the full record when you want to investigate.

Keep deadlines close at hand.

See reminders for saved opportunities alongside the finds you have snoozed. Bring a tender back tomorrow morning or before its deadline, so the work you meant to revisit has a place in your day.

Choose when Scout gets your attention.

Use native Mac notifications for every find, stronger matches or deadlines only. Pause Scout when you need to focus, set quiet hours and let it start at login. Urgent deadline reminders can still come through during quiet hours.

A new tender catches your eye. Is the buyer a good fit? Who won similar work? What would your team need to prepare? Open the record in Otnox and take the review beyond the notification.

Scout is a companion to that work. It keeps finds, deadlines and published award updates nearby, while the portal gives you the space to search, compare and analyse. The tenders you save in Scout are in your Otnox favourites when you return to the web.

Frequently asked questions

Why use Scout if I already use the Otnox website?

Scout makes the quick checks easier: look at new finds, keep or dismiss an opportunity, and see a reminder from the Mac menu bar. You can do that while working in another app. Open the portal when you want full tender details, buyer research, published results or a wider market analysis.

Does the Otnox website need to stay open?

No browser tab needs to stay open. Scout is a separate Mac app connected to your Otnox account. Keep the app running and your Mac connected to the internet to receive new finds and notifications. It can start automatically when you sign in to your Mac.

How does Scout choose which tenders to show?

It uses the markets and procurement categories in your Otnox company profile, within your account access. Matching can also use your company description where available. The fit indicator helps you prioritise a review; it does not predict whether you will win.

What can I do directly in the pop-up?

Review a find, check its fit reasons, save it with Take, dismiss it with Pass or Snooze it for later. Reminders keeps the opportunities you need to return to. Open a tender in Otnox when you want to read the full record and investigate further.

Will a tender I save in Scout appear in Otnox?

Yes. Take saves it to your Otnox favourites, and a future submission deadline can create a reminder. You can continue reviewing the tender in the portal with the same account.

Can Scout tell me about awards and competitors?

Scout can notify you when an award is published for a tender you follow and look for published wins by competitors named in your profile. Open Otnox to explore the records. Availability depends on what the procurement sources publish and when Otnox receives it.

Can I keep notifications quiet while I work?

Yes. Choose every find, stronger matches plus deadlines, or deadlines only. You can pause Scout and enable quiet hours. Urgent deadline reminders can still appear during quiet hours; notification delivery also depends on your Mac permissions.

Can I use email, Telegram, Slack or Teams as well?

Yes. Configure your monitoring rules and delivery channels in Otnox. Email can deliver scheduled digests, Telegram sends updates to your bot chat, and Slack or Teams can bring matches into a connected team channel. Those delivery settings are separate from the notifications you choose in Scout.

How do ChatGPT and Claude fit in?

They give you another way to research Otnox data. Connect your Otnox account and ask about tenders, buyers and published competition in a conversation. Scout brings updates to your Mac; the connected assistants help you explore the questions those updates raise.

Can I use Otnox without installing Scout?

Yes. Scout is an optional companion for Mac users. You can continue using the portal, set up monitoring delivery through your preferred channels, or connect Otnox to ChatGPT or Claude.

Can I download Scout now?

Yes. Download the signed, notarised installer for macOS from this page, open it and drag Otnox Scout to Applications. It works on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs and updates itself when a new version is released.
