Inscripción como proveedor del Estado — Registration as State Supplier (Panama)

Inscripción como proveedor del Estado is the portal registration process on PanamaCompra where persons and firms submit legal, tax and contact documents to create a supplier record.

What it does

Inscripción como proveedor del Estado refers to the supplier registration workflow on the PanamaCompra portal. The guide requires completing the “Información de la Razón Social” screen and uploading supporting documentation according to the proponent type; the steps are shown in the PanamaCompra V3 registration guide. ([2])

Distinction from certificado de proponente

Registration on the portal is distinct from administrative certificates: the Dirección General de Contrataciones Públicas (DGCP) receives solicitudes for certificados de proponente and other trámites at its office and processes those requests separately from the online portal enrollment. ([1])

Practical consequence for a supplier

Suppliers should prepare the documents listed by DGCP for their proponent type (examples in the DGCP page include RUC, Aviso de Operaciones and, where applicable, Licencia Comercial) and maintain accurate contact information so the portal registration can be completed. ([1])
