Número de Operación Guatecompras (NOG) — procurement event identifier

Número de Operación Guatecompras (NOG) is the identifier assigned to procurement events on Guatecompras and is used in the platform’s OCDS export.

Function

The Número de Operación Guatecompras (NOG) is the identifier assigned to procurement events within Guatecompras. The Portal de Estándar de Datos para las Contrataciones Abiertas (OCDS) publishes information about procurement events that are issued with a NOG; the NOG is carried in those machine-readable exports.

NOG is used to reference operational procurement events included in the OCDS feed. By contrast, the Número de Publicación Guatecompras (NPG) is the identifier that appears in other publication-oriented datasets available through the Portal de Datos Abiertos and Guatecompras reporting modules.

Practical consequence for a supplier

When an event is published with a NOG, that identifier allows users to locate the corresponding event record in OCDS/open-data channels used by journalists, analysts and monitoring tools. Data consumers rely on the NOG to match and follow an event across the platform’s machine-readable feeds.
