ESJN — Electronic System for Public Procurement (North Macedonia)

ESJN (Електронски систем за јавни набавки) is North Macedonia’s official web-based system enabling contracting authorities and economic operators to carry out and access public procurement procedures electronically.

What it does

ESJN is the national web‑based electronic system for public procurement in North Macedonia. It provides a channel for contracting authorities and economic operators to publish notices, manage procurement procedures and exchange procurement‑related information electronically. The Bureau describes ESJN as enabling easier access for all interested parties and aiming to make procurements faster and more effective.

Distinction from the Bureau

ESJN is the technical electronic platform used to carry out procurement procedures. It is distinct from the Bureau for Public Procurement (БЈН), which the site identifies as the central administrative body within the Ministry of Finance responsible for coordination and oversight of the procurement system.

Practical consequence for a supplier

Economic operators use ESJN to find announcements and take part in electronic procedures. БЈН publishes user manuals, FAQs and an operator manual and provides education and support to help suppliers use the ESJN interface.
