ePPS — Electronic Public Procurement System (Malta)
Malta’s Electronic Public Procurement System (ePPS) is the government portal where contracting authorities publish procurement calls and economic operators submit electronic tender responses.
What it does
The ePPS is the government’s electronic procurement portal used to publish competitive procurement calls and to receive electronic submissions. Regulation requires that competitive calls with an estimated procurement value exceeding €5,000 be published on the ePPS unless the Director of Contracts authorises otherwise; the portal’s call workspace provides the call’s core information (publication date, unique reference, deadlines and procedure type).
Relation to other sites
Some contracting authorities maintain informational procurement pages (for example MITA’s procurement portal), but official publication of calls and tender notices is made through the ePPS. Where regulations or thresholds require EU publication, notices may also appear in the OJEU.
Consequence for suppliers
Suppliers should consult the ePPS for the CfT core information and to submit tender responses. The system supplies the tender response format (including the ESPD fields) and is the channel through which supporting documents and declarations are uploaded.
