Standard Tender Documents — Standard Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Documents and Formats (Kenya)

Kenya's Standard Tender Documents are PPRA‑issued standardized bid, contract and form templates for use by public procuring entities and stakeholders when conducting procurement and disposal.

What the Standard Tender Documents are

PPRA developed and issued the Standard Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Documents and Formats (commonly called Standard Tender Documents or STDs), effective 21 April 2021, and discontinued previously issued standard bid documents.

Scope and contents

The STDs provide prescribed templates and evaluation/report formats for procurement of goods, works, non‑consulting services, consulting services, disposal and framework agreements; PPRA publishes downloadable Word and PDF versions for use by procuring entities and stakeholders.

What suppliers should expect

When a public tender adopts the STDs, suppliers are required to complete the Authority’s prescribed forms. The current STDs include a Beneficial Ownership Information Disclosure form and amend the Form of Tender to allow tenderers to commit to providing beneficial‑ownership information once notified of award.
