Registro de Proveedores del Estado (RPE) — State Supplier Registry, Dominican Republic

Official supplier register run by the Dirección General de Contrataciones Públicas (DGCP), recording natural and legal persons eligible to offer goods and services to public entities.

What it is

The Registro de Proveedores del Estado (RPE) is the DGCP's official supplier register. It records natural and legal persons so they may offer goods and services to public entities; the DGCP states registrants can offer to more than 747 government institutions.

Registration paths and provisional status

Requirements differ by supplier type (national individuals, juridical persons, cooperatives, ASFL, consortia and foreigners). Foreign firms and consortia may obtain a provisional RPE; if adjudicated they must request definitive registration prior to contract signature and within ten (10) business days of adjudication. Provisional records cannot register bank accounts.

Practical steps for applicants

Applicants must complete the SECP online form or apply in person and provide category-specific documents (RNC, commercial registration, notarized powers, bank certification, beneficiary declarations and MICM MIPYME certificate where applicable). The DGCP may request additional documentation as needed.
