NeST — National e-Procurement System of Tanzania

NeST is Tanzania’s government electronic procurement system, supporting supplier registration, tendering and subsequent procurement and contract processes.

More than a notice board

The system supports procurement of goods, works, consultancy and non-consultancy services, as well as disposal of assets. Its functions include electronic registration, tender preparation and submission, evaluation, award and contract management.

Supplier participation

Suppliers can register, provide qualification information, view opportunities and submit priced offers. The platform also provides guidance and training resources. Establish access and check the relevant business details before the submission deadline.

Different workflows

A tender, catalogue purchase, framework arrangement and auction are not the same procedure simply because they use NeST. Read the particular notice and documents to determine the procurement method and response requirements. Registration gives access to the system; it does not establish that a supplier satisfies every tender condition or has won a contract. Keep the acknowledgement for the actual submitted response.
