Elektronikus Közbeszerzési Rendszer (EKR) — Electronic Procurement System, Hungary

Hungary’s Elektronikus Közbeszerzési Rendszer (EKR) is the national electronic platform supporting publication, searching and automated notice notifications for public procurement.

Function

The Elektronikus Közbeszerzési Rendszer (EKR) supports the electronic conduct of public procurement procedures in Hungary. The portal provides publication and searching of procurement notices and includes an automatic notice‑notification function available in the Eljárástár.

Distinction

EKR operates as the national platform for publishing and managing procurement procedures and notices within the system. Concluded contracts and the dedicated contract repository are accessed via the Publikus Szerződéstár, a separate EKR section.

Practical consequence for a supplier

Suppliers and other users can search for current and future business opportunities on the portal and subscribe to Eljárástár notifications. To use interactive features, users must register an account; the registration form requires an email address that the system sends a confirmation message to for verification.
