COMPR.AR — Electronic procurement system and portal (Argentina)

COMPR.AR is Argentina’s national electronic contracting system; the public portal comprar.gob.ar publishes calls, supports prescribed electronic procedures, and serves as an official notification medium.

COMPR.AR constitutes the Sistema Electrónico de Contrataciones de la Administración Nacional through which jurisdictions and entities carry out, in electronic form, the procurement procedures prescribed in the Reglamento del Régimen de Contrataciones (Decreto Nº 893/12 and Decreto Delegado Nº 1023/01).

Portal and notification role

The portal comprar.gob.ar is the public web site that manages COMPR.AR; it is the mandatory medium for publishing convocatorias and the other stages of selection procedures and is a valid means for notifications between contracting entities and interested parties.

User roles and practical effect

The system defines "usuarios proveedores" as persons who use COMPR.AR on behalf of suppliers and "usuarios compradores" as persons designated by procurement units. Users-proveedores accept receiving COMPR.AR emails at the address recorded in SIPRO; such emails are advisory, and users remain responsible for monitoring the portal and their submissions.
