DCC 3 Waters have an ongoing programme to renew the city’s 3 Waters infrastructure assets with support from contracting partners on a term-contract basis. The current contracts are nearing expiry and the DCC is now seeking responses from potential contracting partners to establish new term contracts commencing 1 July 2027 for a potential duration of up to 10 years. What’s most important The Contracts and the long-term partnering relationships contribute to the DCC’s Three Waters infrastructure strategy to deliver the following community outcomes: • A sustainable city with healthy and treasured natural environments. • A healthy city with reliable and quality water, wastewater and stormwater systems. • A supportive city with caring communities and a great quality of life. The DCC is aiming to establish 3 significant term contracts and work with experienced contracting partners on a programme basis to: • Improve the condition of the DCC’s 3 Waters network. • Provide efficiency improvement, enhance asset management and investment decision-making. • Meet all regulatory requirements for providing safe drinking water and environmental stewardship. • Enable more efficient and effective contract management with reduced costs to administer. • Provide customer focus, stakeholder management and great service. • Deliver outstanding value for money and reduce the cost of renewals. • Provide appropriate levels of service, including service continuity, safe drinking water and good environmental outcomes.
