Implementation of the Gem Accelerator

Lahden seutu – Lahti Region Oy, operating under the name Business Lahti, requests tenders for the planning, implementation and operation of the GEM Accelerator. The GEM Accelerator is an international business accelerator focusing on the electrification, automation and digitalisation of mobility, transport and logistics. It is established through the Lahti GEM Supercluster project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council. The Service includes detailed programme planning, national and international participant scouting, marketing and communications, management of the application and selection processes, implementation of three (3) accelerator batches, participant-specific support, partner and investor engagement, monitoring, reporting and final handover. At least eighteen (18) companies or teams shall be selected for the three batches in total. The Service is intended for Finnish and international startups, growth companies, research-based teams and potential spin-offs that have progressed beyond the initial idea stage. The primary working language of the Service is English. The Service shall be implemented through a hybrid model, with key in-person activities primarily organised in the Lahti region. The Agreement period is seventeen (17) months, from 1 November 2026 to 31 March 2028. The Tenderer shall state a total price for the Service. The total price may not exceed EUR 180,000 excluding VAT and shall include all costs necessary for the performance of the Service. The price will not be scored. Tenders will be compared solely on the basis of quality, with a weight of 100%. One (1) Supplier will be selected. Tenderers may submit a tender individually or as a consortium. The selected Supplier shall be responsible for the performance of the Service in its entirety, including work performed by consortium members and subcontractors.
