REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Airborne lidar and measurement system

Open for bids·30 Oct 2026

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Airborne lidar and measurement system REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Oulu University of Applied Sciences Ltd ("Oamk") is preparing a potential procurement of an airborne lidar and measurement system. Through this Request for Information (RFI), Oamk is conducting a market consultation to identify solutions available on the market, their features, integration possibilities, and suitability for various airborne measurement and mapping tasks. This RFI is not a contract notice or a call for tenders and does not initiate a procurement process. The market consultation does not oblige Oamk to proceed with the procurement, nor does it create any obligations for suppliers. Participation or non-participation in the market consultation will not affect a supplier's ability to participate in any subsequent competitive tendering process. The preliminary scope of the procurement is a complete solution suitable for use on unmanned aerial vehicles and, where possible, also on manned aircraft. The solution may include laser scanning equipment, positioning and inertial measurement systems, data storage and integration components, required software, and services related to system commissioning. This RFI aims to gather information on available alternatives, their suitability, implementation possibilities, and cost levels to support the preparation of the competitive tendering process. The call for tenders is expected to be published in late 2026 or early 2027. The information presented in this RFI is preliminary and may change before the call for tenders is published.,
