An initial focus of the newly established Council has been the consideration of the range of services Council provides to the community and whether they provide value for money, particularly from a ratepayer perspective. It is proposed to contract an independent expert advisor to conduct a review to investigate these matters. The scope of the Review will encompass the identification of opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost reduction through efficiencies, noting recommended corrective actions, including changes to the Revenue & Financing Policy if required.
