Waikato District Council is seeking an experienced contractor to construct the Pookeno Sports Park Skatepark — a purpose-designed in-situ concrete skate facility within the Pookeno Sports Park Master Plan. Council invites tenders from experienced Skatepark contractors to deliver the street section (approximately 636 m²) comprising banks, quarterpipes, hips, funboxes, ledges, rails and a banana spine, together with bulk earthworks, drainage, steelwork, landscaping and reinstatement. Tenderers are also invited to provide a separately priced tag option (Separable Portion B) for the bowl (approximately 121.67 m²). Tenders are informed the bowl may be instructed at contract award or during the contract as a separable portion but the delivery of the bowl is subject to available funding. Council requires a single point of accountability for the full scope of works including earthworks, concrete construction, steel coping and rails, quality assurance to skateable-finish standard, and health and safety obligations throughout the duration of the contract.
