WLTL2 will provide robust, high-quality evidence exploring the key drivers of teacher recruitment and retention through collecting evidence on the factors underlying teachers' behaviours and attitudes over time. It will continue to develop the Department's evidence base on the teaching workforce in England through a comprehensive, regular survey to address strategic aims around teacher sufficiency. The data collected will allow the Department to strategically monitor changes across multiple policy areas simultaneously to provide cross-cutting insight into key issues affecting the teaching workforce which will inform and shape teacher workforce policy.
