Te Maunga Closed Landfill - Immediate Physical Works

Tauranga City Council is seeking to engage a suitably experienced contractor to deliver priority civil and environmental works at the Te Maunga Closed Landfill. These works are critical to addressing current consent compliance requirements, improving the performance and resilience of leachate and stormwater management systems, and supporting the long-term management of this important closed landfill asset. The project involves construction of leachate collection infrastructure, stormwater controls, landfill capping, access improvements and associated earthworks within a sensitive and operational waste management environment. TCC is seeking a contractor with demonstrated experience delivering complex works in contaminated, constrained and high-risk environments, strong environmental , health and safety practices and the ability to work collaboratively with Mana Whenua and key stakeholders to achieve compliant, sustainable and high-quality outcomes. Successful delivery may support opportunities for future related works, subject to performance, funding availability and procurement requirements.
