Refurbishment of Washrooms at GSS Head Office and Census Secretariat

The washrooms at the Head office have become dilapidated due to obsolete appliances and fittings. The work to be done involves demolishing part of the block wall to get access to the water supply lines and the sewer lines. The old sewer and pipe lines will be removed and replaced with new PVC pipes. All the sanitary appliances shall be replaced with new ones. Some windows will be removed and the openings be closed up with blocks. An additional toilet cubicle will be created on each floor within the male washrooms at the north wing side. Some damaged windows will be replaced and the electrical system overhauled. The old and worn-out doors shall be replaced. Water supply to the Census Secretariat erratic hence the need to construct a mechanized borehole at the secretariat. New water closet seat covers will be supplied and installed for the existing water closets.
