Purchase of HPC Computational and Data Storage infrastructure for the EMME-CARE Teaming project, with reference number CyI/EMME-CARE/HPCF/Cluster-Storage/2024

The Cyprus Institute (CyI) seeks to acquire high-performance computing (HPC) hardware that includes compute nodes and associated equipment, as well as HPC data storage hardware and related components. These resources will be deployed for scientific applications aimed at addressing research challenges in climate and atmospheric studies. The total available budget for all required hardware is €504,201.68 + VAT. This purchase is fully funded by the European Union Horizon2020 – Teaming Project EMME-CARE. The acquisition of the required hardware will take place through an open tender procedure into Lots (with estimated budget for each lot) as follows: LOT 1 - Compute Nodes: estimated budget €282,000.00 +VAT. LOT 2 - Storage Servers and NVME: estimated budget €153,000.00 +VAT LOT 3 - JBOD and HDD: estimated budget €69,000.00 +VAT The estimated budget per Lot is based on the total maximum available budget. Tenderers are invited to submit their offers for one or more lots.
