The court surface is due for renewal as part of Waikato District Council’s planned asset lifecycle and forward work programme. While there are no major structural failures present, the asphalt shows widespread age-related cracking and surface wear consistent with long-term use and exposure. The project aligns with council’s objective to maintain safe, fit for purpose recreational facilities, reduce ongoing maintenance costs, and extend the service life of key community sporting assets. Key outcomes This RFT aims to achieve the following outcomes: • Identify a contractor who has a proven track record for delivery of high-quality projects, on time and within budget • Identify a contractor that has direct experience with projects of a similar size and scope • Identify a contractor that has the capacity and required plant and resources available to deliver the court renewal • Identify a contractor who has the relevant Health and Safety pre-qualifications
