The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham is awarding a Framework of Homecare providers for adults aged 18 and over residing in Barking and Dagenham. We use a strengths-based approach in our social care work and seek to build on the assets and relationships people have in their communities. We are committed to support and enhance our residents' abilities and resilience to live in their own homes, for as long as possible, as independently as possible. Under the Care Act 2014, the local authority must provide or arrange for the provision of services that promote wellbeing, contribute towards preventing, delaying or reducing the needs for care and support in individuals and meet the needs for care and support of adults who meet the eligibility criteria set out in the Care Act 2014. The Framework wis assigned to 9 providers in three geographical lots to cover the borough to deliver these services, in a manner that is tailored to individual needs and enable our residents to continue to improve the skills they need to maintain their independence in their own homes.
