London Youth Games & London Mini Marathon Championship Coordinator

The Council is seeking support to drive the borough's participation in the London Youth Games (LYG) and London Mini Marathon Championship, building on the achievements of the last 4 years. The Council wants to: maintain and improve attendance at LYG and the London Mini Marathon Championship and; Maintain and improve representation from across the borough. Maintain and improve the number of events entered at LYG and waves at the London Mini Marathon Championship. Support and build the community offer for physical activity linked to LYG and the London Mini Marathon Championship. Identify young people to represent the borough in the para and inclusive events at LYG and the para waves at London Mini Marathon Championship. Address any barriers to entry highlighted by young people. Ensure young people can shape the Merton offer (provide feedback). Provide a safe, inclusive and enjoyable experience for all representatives, staff and volunteers
