Water Pilot Laboratory (MWTIP project) GENERAL This document is not a procurement announcement, not an Call for tenders, nor will its publication start a Tender Procurement Process. The purpose of this Prior information notice is to identify potential suppliers operating in the market and their offerings. Responding or not responding to this Prior information notice does not prevent participation in a possible future tender. This Prior information notice does not obligate the contracting authority to carry out an actual procurement procedure. All information presented in this Prior information notice is preliminary and indicative. Geologian tutkimuskeskus (the Geological Survey of Finland (hereinafter “GTK”)) is a research institute operating under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. It provides impartial research data and services related to mineral and circular economy, as well as energy, water, and environmental issues, and digital solutions to meet the needs of industry and society. GTK’s key research infrastructure for minerals and the circular economy is GTK Mintec, a unique facility in Europe that includes process mineralogy and process laboratories, as well as a mineral processing pilot plant located in Outokumpu. PRELIMINARY SCOPE OF THE PROCUREMENT The scope of the procurement includes delivery to the Water Pilot Laboratory (MWTIP project). Four customisable and automated, turn-key pilot-scale test rigs (Test-Rigs) for treating industrial water and wastewater. According to the preliminary plan, the Call for tenders will be divided into four lots, for which tenderer's may submit tenders under the terms described in the final Call for tenders. LOT 1: Test-Rig-1 chemical coagulation (coagulation and flocculation) followed by sedimentation with ancillary equipment LOT 2: Test-Rig-2 electrochemical treatment (electrocoagulation) followed by sedimentation LOT 3: Test-Rig-3 adsorption and ion exchange processes with prefiltration LOT 4: Test-Rig-4 membrane separation (microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, and Electrodialysis) with prefiltration MARKET DIALOGUE The contracting authority reserves the right to engage in market dialogue with the responding companies regarding the planned procurement and the tender documents. In addition, the contracting authority reserves the right to conduct the potential market dialogue either in the form of written comments on the draft tender documents or through one-on-one meetings (via Teams or in person). The possibility to comment on the draft tender documents is preliminary planned to be arranged once before the publication of the final Call for tenders, regardless of the format.
