  1. Spain agrees housing measures and a freeze on evictions until 2030

    After days of protests over an 87-year-old woman evicted in Madrid, the government agreed a housing package and says evictions will be suspended until 2030. Social housing, renovation and rental support are where the public money, and the tenders, will go.

    The Ministry of Economics is looking at shelters that can be bought off the shelf and installed quickly. Estonia’s budget committee argued over defence procurements the same day, and Lithuania will push military-mobility funding during its EU presidency.

  3. Lithuania signs a €0.9bn renovation and green transition plan

    The government and the European Commission are signing a plan worth about €900m for renovation and the green transition. Rail Baltica keeps its 2030 target, and Via Baltica gets 23 smart speed-management posts through a public tender.

  4. Navantia UK bids to lead a £7bn Royal Navy order
