NZDF New Build Housing - Budget 2026 Waiouru

NZDF is seeking a Main Contractor for the design and construction of approximately 14 new single level standalone homes at Waiouru, as part of the NZDF Housing Programme. This project will include design and construction of the new turnkey homes, as well associated on and off lot landscaping/civils, on NZDF owned/designated land. Land is currently vacant, but has been used for housing in the past. This is an open market, single stage process. **To participate, access the SmartProcure portal at https://nzdf.bravosolution.com and search for RFX code 2876. This portal is the source of all tender documentation and communication with NZDF. An online briefing will occur at 1:00PM on Monday 28 September via MS Teams, followed by a site visit at 12:00PM on Thursday 01 October 2026 in Waiouru. See the RFT Main Document for details. Tenderers MUST meet the following minimum requirements. Those that cannot satisfactorily demonstrate adherence to these preconditions will NOT be progressed to evaluation: - Residential Delivery Experience – Tenderers MUST have delivered a minimum of FIFTEEN residential dwellings, including a design and build residential development of at least FIVE or more dwellings, within the past THREE years. - Capacity to Commence – confirmation of capacity to commence in line with the proposed start date, and that sufficient capacity exists throughout the proposed programme to complete the works. - Experience with design and build contracts – confirmation and demonstration of experience working under design and build contracts. - Bonds and Security – confirmed ability to obtain a 5% performance bond based on their proposed price.
